Article Processing Charge (APC)

Selat Melaka Journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support the costs of editorial management, peer review, manuscript processing, copyediting, layout, online publication, DOI registration, indexing services, and long-term digital preservation.

APC Amount

Authors are required to pay an APC of IDR 500,000 (five hundred thousand Indonesian Rupiah) for each article accepted for publication.

Payment Terms

  • The APC is charged only after the manuscript has been formally accepted.

  • There are no submission fees or review fees prior to acceptance.

  • Payment instructions will be provided by the editorial office after acceptance notification.

What the APC Covers

The APC covers:

  • Editorial handling and double-blind peer review

  • Manuscript editing and formatting

  • Online publication and open access dissemination

  • DOI registration and indexing support

  • Digital archiving and long-term preservation

Editorial Independence

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts are evaluated solely based on academic merit, originality, relevance, and compliance with the journal’s ethical standards.

Waiver and Discount Policy

Selat Melaka Journal may consider APC waivers or discounts under special circumstances, including:

  • Authors from under-resourced institutions

  • Invited articles or special issues

  • Other considerations at the discretion of the editorial board

Requests for waivers or discounts must be submitted before final acceptance and will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief.
